After concerts with Tad, Alice Donut and Victims Family, Junkfish was increasingly profiling itself as Belgium's most idiosyncratic group.
Their music is a fusion of Fugazi's hardcore and Meat Beat Manifesto's punk rap house. Judiciously, infectious, psychotic guitar riffs are combined with driven rhythms and wry, commanding vocals.
Hysterical samples and synthesizer parts round off the whole, driven by critical - but always with an underlying sarcasm - lyrics.
Their first self titled album gets released in June 1991.
Manifesto is the label department of their booker Novecento Productions by Ludwig Vandenbruel

The periode between the full CD in 1989 and this mini-cd (EP) 1993, bassplayer Etienne left the band. This way the others started recording warm electronic basslines and samples which Mario worked out. Junkfish is a 4-piece band from now on.
